Felt Apples

I finished these today and I'm very happy with how they turned out. I made one 2 weeks ago for a friends little girl who's first birthday was a while back. I've since decided to make two of everything felt thing I make. Unless I'm making one as a gift them I'll make 3. Reason? A set for our home and a set for Nana's home. I'm so excited to make more and in time send my mom a huge box full of fun things!
The apples have about an 11 inch circumference. I bought a pattern off of an Etsy seller but made some adjustments because I didn't like the very fist trial apple I made. (Not the one I made Brita but the apple before that one.) Plus I'm going to put two small strips of Velcro along the bottom edges to make it so they stay shut. What do you think?

  1. Haha, Buffalo Exchange is where these pictures were taken! And we're planning a trip to PHX to visit the one there. You'll have to come with us sometime!

  4. Wonderful in both design and construction Dani.
Your attention to detail is lovely. A+++.
    haha.

I think Velcro is a good idea for kids. They also make these tiny little magnets that can be sewn (i'm pretty sure sewn) on. If you market these, that may be a way to go.

Why I'm (still) a Mormon

I don't expect much more to ever be posted on this blog, and I'm largely just posting this to share it with some particular friends....
